Here at The
Therapy Center, we strive to provide a relaxing and enjoyable
experience. You will be greeted by our friendly staff and sign in daily.
After filling out basic information about you and what brings you to
therapy, you will be escorted to one of our treatment rooms, where you
will meet your therapist and be able to tell us all about what your
particular concerns are.
It is so important to us that you maintain an open dialogue with your therapist. This means if you are feeling better or worse on any given treatment session, your therapist wants to know those things so that he/she can modify your treatment for that day. Tell us what we're doing that you like, and what you don't like. If you have an accident while not in therapy, or do extra stretches and felt better since your last visit, let us know! Those pieces of information are so viable to your overall outcomes and can help lead your therapist in the right direction to help YOU!
You will be contacted to schedule if your doctor referred you to us. After getting some basic information we will verify your health insurance benefits so that you know exactly what to expect to pay and what your insurance will pay, each time you come for therapy. If you have any questions, our friendly staff can be of assistance. If you are interested in therapy and haven't been to see your doctor, call our front office and they will assist you on your way towards feeling better.
Once you complete your patient information forms, you will be escorted to a private treatment room, and you will be introduced to your Physical Therapist. Your therapist will then begin a friendly dialogue with the intent to get to know you and what exactly your goals are for therapy. Based on the information they gather, your physical therapist will begin to examine you and your strength, range of motion, and any special testing. Let your therapist know exactly what you are feeling each time you move, as this will likely direct further testing. After the thorough evaluation, your therapist will let you know what they feel may be an issue and lay out a plan to best correct these issues.
It is likely that you will be treated on your first visit. Treatments are very customized and vary from patient to patient. Treatment may also vary from session to session. Exercise is considered a treatment as well. Our well trained staff will assist you in your treatments.
